There was no comedy here. What was the joke? Even from a "shock comedy" perspective, that usually implies there is comedy there to be had. All the dude said was evil hateful shyt. There was no joke. It wasn't comedy. Its just a cac being a hateful ass cac.

I say that as someone who can laugh at comedy or jokes that one could classify as "wrong" or off-color. Like Godfrey said about himself, I'm not one of these sensitive dudes.

If someone sees the comedy in what he said, explain it to me. Again, I say this as someone who can and has laugh at jokes that would be classified as "wrong". The objective of a comedian is to tell jokes and make people laugh.

Yes as a comedian you can say ANYTHING you want... But the key is it has to be thought out with humor in it somewhere and it has to be widely cosidered funny in some form or fashion.

If theres zero humor in it then its not a joke. If its not a joke then its just vile hateful commentary that you will naturally suffer consequences for. You could say what you want but you better make damn sure that ppl find it funny, even if it's dark absurdist humor.

There was no joke. Ari Shaffir's comment wasn't a joke. That was just a hateful, racist way of vilifying a black man. Him saying "maybe if he stayed in Charlotte he wouldn't have raped that woman." That's just his angle. It wasn't a joke. He knew what he was saying. He just tried to pass it off as a joke when he started getting the heat. I didn't even know he was a comedian until after.
