1. beat makers that do the "type" beats are not really in it for artist value imo, thats why they never put together their own proper projects/albums

2. its a quick come up for rappers looking for the "popping" sound in rap so they look for beat makers that make these young thug or future type beats , how will they afford to pay metro boomin and them? so they seek these type of beat makers

funny enough, chief keef actually youtubed "cheif keef type beat" one day and found the beat for Citgo

Kinda true.. the family of the singer that was killed the other day is asking for $4000.. (I know ol girl was worth some money too cause she was getting booked regularly for concerts) ... Not to mention Adam Levine said he would pay for her funeral

Chief Keef used to search for beats on YouTube all the time, and I'm sure other rappers do it.

What I find crazy, is that I'm scrolling through GoFundMe campaigns, and see all these white folks raising $5000+ and reaching their goal. Then when I scroll past a black person, they've only raised like $2-300, and nowhere near their goal.
Black folks really don't support their own people.

yea...crowdfunding is really white privilege in action....thats what disgusts me about those sites.

Yea but a lotta those are more or less gems. Like I know nikkas on youtube who make some fire ass type beats but more often than not you're gonna find shyt like what OP makes. Also people who make type beats will always get their shyt stolen, and it's much harder to build a brand for yourself. Like I know about how Sosa found the Citgo beat and Joey did the same thing for Christ Conscious but you'll never hear of either of the nikkas who made that beat again.

Way easier to lease it for one time use for a cheaper price and sell it to multiple dudes instead of selling exclusive rights once and taking the beat down. People been doing this for a while now

no doubt fam,, ive come across some good type beats on youtube but i never dive deep into who makes them, i just listen and keep it moving, i need to see and hear more original stuff for me to be interested in that beat maker but yeah apparently some people do eat from the hustle tho

i was reading about some guy that did dj mustard type beats when mustard was first blowing up and the guy said he was making 10k a month, i dunno how true it was but apparently he was showing guys his paypal payments and yeah some guys confirmed it, interesting hustle but yeah.
