placebos are a crazy thing:wow:
Show me a study telling me how long someone should be on a diet to notice a difference breh

Also pull up the study you seem to be referring to that studied placebo effects in people starting vegan diets.

I used to take a nap almost religiously after work (even tried drinking coffee to avoid it), now I'm not even tired in the afternoons :yeshrug:

That's not a placebo, that's a noticible improvement in energy.

Nothing's changed in my life but the food

You can eat what you want, but don't try to invalidate people's positive improvements to make you feel better bout that XL pizza you have on the way

Its good that it helped but its a placebo and not a real treatment for real depression though diet definitely plays a part in energy/mood but just not to the extent of curing any major depression :yeshrug:As for veganism, its bullshyt but get it how you live. The key to eating right is eating any type of food with the right serving sizes/proportions not cutting it out of your diet entirely.

I said i can make vegan Griot, not that traditional Griot itself is vegan.

And i use Seitan as a substitute for the pork shoulders. The marinade stays the same. The end result tastes similar.
But griot is literally fried pork so I'm still not getting this. Why not just call it fried seitan?:patrice:

Uh.. have you been to a depression course? One of the first things they suggest alongside breathing exercises is more fruits and vegetables daily.

"It's a placebo"

"It's bullshyt"

Are all nice buzzwords but you have nothing behind them. If vegan isn't for you then fine, the point is we don't need any of that extra shyt.

of course moderation is key for anything.

Lol no certified psychiatrist is suggesting a diet change without anything like medication, exercise, socializing, etc in conjunction.... The fact that you claim your change in mood is entirely due to diet is either not an accurate "why" or simply a placebo....but hey it worked for you.

Why not just call Griot Vian Kochon fri? :troll:

No seriously, I call it vegan Griot because it's supposed to be an imitation of that recipe. once you say its vegan then it's obvious it's a non animal derived replacement.

But some foods literally have no nutritious value so what's the point of eating them?:patrice:
And I don't think it's a placebo effect at all. Hormonal changes happen when you cut out certain food but I do think for him it's more likely a result from eating healthier than being vegan.

What you fail to consider is that Exercise was already something I did daily, mood improvements came only once the diet switched.

You're grasping for straws to devalue my personal changes and it's kind of odd, to say the least

True but in moderation, they aren't harming you, either. If you want to eat something for the taste, even if it isn't adding value, then I think that is a justification.

And I don't think it's a placebo effect at all. Hormonal changes happen when you cut out certain food but I do think for him it's more likely a result from eating healthier than being vegan.

Ehhh I think you are overestimating the hormonal changes without other forms of treatment in conjunction with the diet change.

I'm not grasping at shyt....I just don't believe you are telling the full story on what else changed in your life including any other forms of treatment you were doing in unison. You'll live.
