nikkas in here trippin on Dame, mostly every HOFer or ATG has gone thru this. Portland was good this year and you cant put all of this on Dame. first, Pels are playing great right now and its mainly due to Rondo. AD and Jrue will get a lot of credit and even Gentry, but without Rondo, this is a totally different team. his presence has transformed AD and it allows Jrue to be an almost elite combo guard. also, Mirotic pickup was crazy, such a good player, even in Chicago.

Stotts has to take some of this blame also, their roster needs a couple of tweaks. Turner is a good player but for that contract he dont fit. he would be a decent 6th man for them. With the way their roster is constructed and the salaries they have, they dont look like they can make any significant changes.

AD proved why he's top 5 players in the league, but the real reason why NO has been so good is because Jru Holiday playing shooting guard. He's been great on both ends of the floor.

it just looks bad... 3 seed swept out of the playoffs. i realize they were only seperated by a game, but still, they had homecourt at least win a game. also he specifically was bad. he didnt handle the double teams well and makes you question his playmaking abilities. the pelicans are a good team but there is no way in hell this should have been this lopsided. even on paper this is not a terrible matchup for them. if dame played better the series would have been closer.

im not hatin on him though, i wont hold this against him too much, but there isnt a good excuse for him being as bad as he was.

Very impressive series by the Pelicans. Jrue Holiday and Anthony Davis are an incredible combo all of a sudden. The Warriors will have their hands full if Jrue and Nico can keep up their level of play.

Nah man. He wanted superstar attention. When superstars fail like this they get scrutinized.

It happened with LeBron against Dallas. Harden last year against San Antonio. KD when they blew it against GSW, etc.

idk. 3 seed is misleading. there was a lot of parity in the West. TWolves almost didnt make it. Dame should learn from this. Their offense was pretty out of sorts and his decision making wasnt good.

Pels are really good though, it definitely couldve been this lopsided without being a fluke. A lot of Blazers didnt play well and they have no playmakers outside of Dame, CJ, except ET and he was injured. Aminu was the only bright spot.
