so does a person that intentionally buys a bunch of shyt they can't afford then skip out on the bill have high character? i'm not saying its universally accurate to judge character off credit reports. there's always gonna be collateral damage in generalizations and the employee hiring process is a giant generalization mash up.

how about a person that's just flat out irresponsible and ends up skipping out on payments because they can't properly manage their money and end up being broke when all they had to do was set a budget and follow it?

At least a fourth of the US population is below 600. So that means that there is roughly around 50 million employable people who are of suspect character via their credit score..

You know that's what you're saying right?

God knows there aren't mitigating circumstances or dire situations that can cause your credit to drop.:shaq2:

:what::what::what::what::what::what: Do you realize the biggest crooks like Schrushy, The crooks at Enron and Madoff Had perfect credit?

Do you realize the biggest cause of bankruptcy in this country is healthcare:what:
unqualified people get hired all the time. if you've ever worked a job with a few people you've seen people make it through the screening process that have no business working there even though they have a degree or experience that says they belong.

these people look at sheets of paper and look at reasons to disqualify people. hold conversations and go with guy feeling and likability or social skills.

about as fair as its gonna hopefully get is them not disqualifying you due to sex or skin color. beyond that they make a bunch of rash generalizations off information that may or may not confirm them and the person that makes it through those gets the job.

i believe so, im not sure tho.......

they checking ur driving record too? yo thats crazy.

Yes, they will be checking my driving records. Even if I paid the fines of my citation, the existing points in my dmv can possibly hinder my chance of employment with AT&T:shaq2:

Also, If I have been with a company for more than 2 years, I have to show proof with my W-2s or with a record of job histories from the Social Security department that I have been working for my previous Employers for more than 2 years.

But throughtout the course of the conference call, the recruiter didn't mention that they will run a credit check. I don't know if I missed some information on that because I was taking some important notes about the job I'm applying for.

Stop acting like you don't know how credit score works.

If you miss a payment by a day it affects your credit, Someone makes a mistake it affects your credit, you get your identity stolen it affects your credit.

Credit score is not some infallible system used to properly determine how good people are at managing money.

Credit Score is damn near the BCS of Real life

This might be sig worthy

man please that shyt isn't gonna hit your credit score or report until its over 30 days late. how you gonna lecture someone about credit and say a payment that's a day late effects it?

i make late payments all the time but i keep them under 30 days so they don't show up on my credit report or effect my score. i get my credit report pulled annually and i'm pushing 30 and have had one late payment in my entire life which isn't even on my report now cause i did it at 18.

I can't remember the exact number but something like 50% of credit reports contain inaccuracies. Also some smarts things people do like not get a credit card is actually bad for your credit score. :shaq2:

I don't think it's that bad. They can understand certain circumstances, but if you have a long history of missed payments on several trade lines, it's clear you are having trouble "getting it together". Yes, there are certain situations that are exceptions, but you have the right to make comments on your credit report (with all three bureaus) that explain your circumstances. If you make those comments, when anyone runs your credit, it will give them a detailed explanation of why you have negative marks.

Sometimes you're just an a$$hole who spends all of your credit on clothing and bullshyt, then never pay your credit cards. You live beyond your means. :manny: Trust, this happens and people want to make excuses. Most people just spend their money on bullshyt and create unnecessary debt that they cannot pay back. That says a lot about how responsible you are.

I'm not directing this at you. Just an example.

This is a horrible example, when the number one cause of bankruptcy in this country is healthcare

So they want more crime by making it harder for people to feed their families? :heh:

They want more people behind bars to support the prison industrial complex:leostare: .
