I'm probably not going to a single game this year unless a client insists and ive been going to Yankee games since the 80s...My last game was Jeters last game at the stadium...

This roster inspires no confidence, its an awful team imo and the ticket prices are too damn high for the average fan...

This isn't like the old stadium where you can go and have a great time with other fans even though the team sucked...the crowds that attend now are not Yankee fans...
We have a new first baseman starting today :gladbron:

get rid of a historic stadium for no reason brehs :mjcry:

and this is an "announced" crowd.. more like 14k.

bad traffic :troll:

The amount of ignorance with regards to baseball on thecoli is unreal. The only reason people think that Baseball is dying is because the small group they associate with doesnt watch/talk about it. Never mind that MLB teams make their nut on local broadcasts, or that those local broadcasts tend to be the #1 most-watched shows within the regions that they air, or that 25 MLB players are paid more than Lebron James, or that League salaries have nearly doubled over the last 15 years, or that the game has never been more popular internationally, or that the league generated a record-breaking 9 billion in revenue last year. Not a lot of people showed up to a wednesday night jays game, so obvs baseball is dead lol

Welp, that settles it. Baseball died. I guess those 47k at Turner Field last night thought they were showing up for a soccer match.
