Im not saying everyone is wrong because it doesn't fit into one interpretation, where did I say that?:what:

I used the buddhist interpretation as AN EXAMPLE(Hence the usage of the phrase "FOR EXAMPLE"), to show how difficult it is to just use an idea like Karma in a general sense and attach it to any situation...

Here is my original post...

Point being, you can't really attach a word like "karma" to this situation especially with all of the different interpretations of the word... According to those religions... "karma" has nothing to do with this situation especially since Kobe doesn't follow those religions:manny:

You're pretty much in agreement with me.. :leon:

The person applying the term gets to use it however he sees fit. It's how religions work. It's why white people get to accuse me of going to hell for all the shyt I say.

Okay... If that is the case... Im just going to say that Kobe tore his tendon because he mistreated a Cow... Under Hindu religion, that is not allowed...

The bolded has me dying for some reason :heh:

Been saying every league needs to shorten their seasons besides the NFL

No need for 82 games or 162 games.

It's just overkill, games feel meanngless.

All you need is 40 NBA/NHL games and 80 baseball games

Yeah I remember you pointing this out months ago... Not only would there be possibly less injuries.... Games would be more competitive on a night to night basis as well....

Yall know damn well the greedy league would rather water down the game quality with stupid rules to "protect" players than shorten seasons and extend careers.

Yall really think Hollywood David Stern and the N.B.O is gonna settle for smaller meals? WRONG

It's not that at all.

It's that you want every game to feel like it's life or death when it's impossible to replicate that feeling the NFL gives (and depending on the team you don't even get that feeling).

It's like asking the NYC Marathon to be shortened from 26.2 miles to 100 meters.

For everyone saying it would lead to less injuries, so many players went down last year in a 66 game season. Fact is, injuries are things you can't avoid.

hate to see Kobe go out like this this year. It'l be weird not seeing him in the playoffs.

Hope he comes back at full strength.

I dont even wanna play 2K anymore :to:

:salute:

glad he's not being a miserable fukk about it..

End of the day, he get's paid 30 mil a year, rides to work in a helicopter every game and is the king of Los Angeles.

He might be crabby when it comes to bball and winning, but I'm sur he understand hows lucky he is in life

Agreed that you can't make every game in sports like basketball have the same value as football. However you can make so that the great majority of the season isn't :snooze:. NBA season doesn't need to be more than 50-60 games. No way it ever happens though because owners are all about quantity and :manny: when it comes to quality. Dont' even get me started on the playoffs.

As far as last year goes you had a lot of nikkas who were out of shape AND you squeezed 66 games into 5 months...had nikkas playing 3 games in 3 nights and shyt. Obviously you can't avoid injuries however there is no denying that more wear and tear makes you more susceptible to injury.

:snoop: Are you trolling? Did you just read about karma in school and want to tell everyone about it? Some people believe Karma pertains to the afterlife, some people believe it affects current life, and some believe it is a combination of both. The beliefs in karma aren't even exclusive to Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, etc. Even non spiritual people commonly follow "reap what you sow" and "treat others as you would like to be treated" doctrines and believe that actions and events tend to be cyclical. Again, just stop.

i'm not a kobe fan, but have much respect for his game and work ethic. never want to see someone go down because of injury.

something like this at his age makes you wonder if he might retire sooner than later. maybe 2 more season max. with his contract situation and all he's accomplished already there's nothing really left to prove.

i wouldnt mind the nba cutting down to 1 home game 1 away game for every team-- just get rid of conference and divisions and take the top 16 teams to playoffs-- 1 vs 16 2 vs 15 and so on--

I didn't like Kobe for a long time cause I felt him and Shaq fukked with the bball gods when they didn't make it work... should of won 7 titles

however, the back to back titles, the will to win, and the added parts of his game as he got older made me appreciate him more and stop hatin. and he actually stopped playing games in the media and just tells it like it is, no filter

I'll miss watchin him in the playoffs hope he can come back and still be great
