Ehh, the book ain't closed on this. The NFL isn't gonna back a team moving to a smaller media market, especially with ratings down. If I remember correctly, there are something like 4-5M tv homes in the raiders norcal/Central Valley markets, there are like 750k in Vegas. Even if you do an even split of he norcal market between the raiders and Niners, it's still 2-3 times bigger than Vegas...

We'll have to wait and see. Maybe there's other revenues they can start up in Vegas to make up for the smaller media market.. Plus I'm sure they'll still show Raider games in the Bay, LA, Central Cali, and the coasts after the move to Vegas. Why would they not?.. and they still have the bay area market with the Niners

Rams own LA, niners would own NorCal....its not about who fans want to see - as discussed in many of the football is dying threads - it's about ownership of the market. Also, The niners aren't going to draw in the raider fanbase up here, especially not with us sucking and them being on the come up. That's half a market lost, and that half is still bigger than the Vegas market. Like I said, I don't know that the league will make it that easy. They'll get out here themselves and find some valley billionaire to put up money before just rolling over on this Vegas project.
