And if the owners buckle to the media pressure, force Goodell out, how do you think the new Commish is gonna be?

You don't think he's gonna go even harder to placate the people that complain about the conduct policy/concussions/language?

The media smelled blood in the water when they got Goodell to change the penalty on Rice and look where we're at now after they attacked.

If they can get Goodell pushed out, the fukkery will be :mjlol:, HuffPo/TMZ will be creating the league's polcies

But the truth is, the media did the right thing on this one.

The DV in the NFL been out of control for a long time and there's been practically no punishment, it's about time that changed. We can't accept and foster women beating.

But I dont agree with this statement.

Does DV happen more frequently in the league than it does elsewhere in America? Because, going off the incidents they provide, it would appear that DV happens far less in the NFL than it does in the country as a whole

Some of you just dont get what this is all about. It's about something money cannot buy or make go away.

Y'all dudes so lost in this one

Yep youre clearly the smartest guy on here because no one agrees with you:mjlol:

Its a business. ITS ALL ABOUT $$$.

When the $$$ becomes a problem- THEN you an issue...

"It's Not About Money"? This is AMERICA, everything is about Money in this country. Notice we didn't get this "Press Conference" until the Beer sponsors (NFL #1 sponser) said something. See, Money talks in this country.

This was supposed to be a PR move to calm shyt down.
Instead, it turned out to be a disaster and Goodell's reputation only got worse... He probably shouldn't have done this press conference.
Also, isn't it amazing how amateurish he looked? A commish stuttering and stalling like that?
David Stern had so much more charisma than this dude:mindblown:

Goodell handled the Rice situation horribly.

But going from 2 games - which was clearly a fukkup - to instituting a policy saying first time offenders gets 6 games, then a week later suspending Rice indefinitely shows he was letting the media get to him.

How do you go from 6 games for first offense to guys getting suspended indefinitely?

Now everyone is jumping on to get support. When the governor of Minnesota is saying AP should be suspended until the legal process has finished, that's going too far.

Apparently, :skip:is on the radio saying Jameis should be suspended for 4 games. I mean really:why:
