It's the lesser of two evils, basically.

No OS is perfect (except Apple) but at least Google recognizes that most of their manufacturers give you a lot of bloatware, and they're trying to lesser/equalize the amount given.

This was also done because Android is no longer tying their Google App updates to software releases. All the main Google apps can be updated outside of the semi-annual Android releases (that these manufacturers be late on anyway)

This aint a big deal at all.
