I would remove US from the United Nations too, it serves no real purpose except to influence elections. What did the UN do to stop ISIS? The invasion of Ukraine? The Arab Spring? The attempted coup in Turkey? We could be a cursory member, let those Eurofag trash fund their own rapey parties If it did make political sense, which it doesn't in this era, it sure as hell doesn't make financial sense, we could use those billions right here in America.

Don't need NATO for a coalition to launch war, Iraq itself proves that.
That said NATO even operating in the ME engaging in bombings in Libya and being active in Afghanistan don't show how its needed, it shows how it has no purpose and is acting outside the scope it was created for. There is no reason for NATO to be in Afghanistan, there is no reason for the US to be footing 75% of the bills and trying to expand it to Russia's borders.

I said NATO served no purpose and no usefulness in its primary objective which was defense of europe for a soviet threat that no longer existed.
You countered it served a purpose in afghanistan in providing a coalition of force? I took this to mean you were praising its use in Afghanistan as why its needed. If I read this wrong, ignore my statement.

NATO has been the tool of the US since the fall of the USSR to expand militarily across europe, its a US tool of military expansion than IMO than a check on power of anyone.
