you got something there...you can sue but prepare for the worst, these police officers are depending on you not to file a complaint...that open complaint makes them ineligible for promotions/pay raise , your legal guy is more than likely gonna ask if you already filed the complaint, so get on that...the best thing to do in that type situation is immediately start mentally documenting things, comply with the ID request but when you hand them the ID look at the cops badge number and the number on the side of the car, then stop talking...completely, don't ask if you did something wrong..and NEVER call them sir

Nah I let my ego in the way, heeding y'alls friendly advice. Still think the cops in the wrong but there ain't no beating the system . I don't have a past criminal record though, drug paraphernalia ticket when I was 17 is about it.

My buddies didn't want to leave when I told 'em to, because they thought by how the way the cops were acting towards me that the moment they walked away I woulda been night sticked into a hospital bed. Both of my homies who saw it said they're going to write written statements and they want to come up to court with me, probably just gonna use a public defender and see what my options are.

Apparently it's a Class A Misdemeanor, I don't know how that will affect me as a first adult charge

I'm not trying to sue, I don't give a fukk about suing, misleading title, more or less just want these charges dropped, and if not shyt happens, move on and learn from the mistakes, just trying to figure out how to deal with this so that it favors somehow in my way

Just trying to see really if it's possible to argue that they used excessive and unnecessary force for bogus charges, with my two friends as witnesses, and basically get the charges dropped.
