I’m 25 6’5 165 and my diet is really bad. None of my family are overweight or fat but I’m still worried due to my diet. Last time I had a blood test was Sept 2019 and nothing came up thankfully but it’s been nearly 2 years

I made a topic about this last year on how corona gave me type 2. I stopped asking why me and went straight to research.

since then I have cured myself through diet (no sugar, low carb). I am not a fan of keto. I still eat small portions of rice or pasta but with plenty of non starchy vegetables to offset quick digestion.

I read labels before I buy anything. No sugar, small portion of fruits, no cereal, no bread (except low carb bread and tortillas). Only milk I drink is almond and I use stevia sweetener for tea, coffee.

I still enjoy snacks like peanuts and sweets like chocolate made from artificial sugars here and there.

I have never been healthier and my blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterols are at an excellent level.

What I have learned in my journey?

NEVER TRUST THESE SCUMBAG DOCTORS.

They just push medications on you and tell you to eat stuff that WILL kill you. Smh

Yh bro it may seem scary at first but after a year of good habit, u forget that u even have it. I suggest ur cousin do his/her research before getting on medication.

I also recommend watching all the videos on SugarMD channel on YouTube. That doctor has excellent advice and suggestions.

The inside of the human body is a chemistry lab.. With the right information about what you put in it, you can achieve just about anything..

Okay sending it now.
I wish I could post a screenshot of what she said this morning but I think she told me she’s like 336 pounds.

weight is definitely an issue that contributes to high blood sugar. She would greatly benefit from intermit fasting and keto diet. I don’t know how disciplined ur cousin is but with self control. Diet and exercise (could mean just long walks), not only can she reverse it but also get down to normal weight for her height.

I have a meter at home and I do get my A1c check up every 3 months to make sure I’m normal. Yes I’m gonna monitor it for the rest of my life but most doctors are still given patients outdated advice that will make sure they never improve. My doctor after 3 months asked me “how did u do it?” And to keep doing whatever am doing after giving me the same generic suggestion during the beginning.
