I've met homie plenty of times, and that's far from the truth.. dude was mad humble and down to earth.. they provided a lot of security for rappers, including Rick Ross every time they had shows in L.A.
he actually did a lot for the unity in the Watts housing projects from Nickerson to Jordan Downs to Imperial Courts., no murders there in 2 years.. 3 of the most notorious housing projects in the country, and he, and other OG's were able to ease the violence in the past 5-6 years.
he, along with Jay Rock gave a lot back to the Nickerson Gardens. community outreach projects, turkey giveaways, gave out school supplies every year, etc... he was a respected O.G., and a wise cat that looked out for his peoples.
Was thinkin similar. While there's no winning in any gang war, if there was points I get the impression ECC was doing the most damage. That war made national news the way people were getting hit.
BTW, dude was in Baron Davis joint too. The comment he made about kids growing up in SoCal that never went to the beach stood out to me. I couldn't imagine being so wrapped up in the hood that I wouldnt find time to hit the beach.
