Both the House and the Senate have bills to reopen government. I legit think alot of folks think folks on the Hill are just sitting around twiddling their thumbs. This is not the case. Particularly on the left they are fighting to get refund checks issued and working on food stamps for folks.

Nobody is sitting stubbornly on their hands but trump. I don't think people realize this. Because 'both sides' is still popping up.

This is literally trump vs the world. Do people need a history book to point this out to them?

Trump is definitely the main person at fault, but let's not forget about McConnell.

If he'd allow a vote there's a good chance there'd be enough Republican votes to reopen the govt, but he's too scared to cross Trump.

You mean create the ethnostate they already have?
I’d be shocked if the Neo Nazis you fear made up more than 5% of the population. Don’t let the media sell you fringe groups as the norm.

The current demographic make up of our country would make it impossible for any real revolution to result in a worse situation than we have now... with black income declining annually, and brothas being gunned down by the state with impunity.
Any defense of the American government by blacks is self hate in my eyes.

Those in power never give it up willingly. History is clear on this.
Working with the good whites for decades hasn’t changed our trajectory and has actually worsened it(thanks Bill).
Okay but how do you persojally see that happening post collapse? How does this play out in your head when you think about it?

i just read that if trump calls an emergency, he has to take that money from military funding? is that true?

Here are 6 scenarios that could ACTUALLY end the government shutdown - CNNPolitics

5) National emergency declaration
If Trump decided to declare the situation at the border a national emergency, the government would re-open in a matter of days. Trump would take the $5 billion for the wall construction from military funding already allocated by Congress -- thus removing the hurdle that is currently keeping the government closed.

i wouldnt have a problem with that :ehh:

Although Trump deserves the majority of the blame, the Democrats share a bit as well. It takes two to tango and both are having a rough time going about it. True, the Democrats have brought things to the table, but you can sense the pure distain of Trump which makes an average person wonder if they’re really trying.

The longer this goes on, the overall narrative will be how both sides aren’t working together to get this done. The lines will start to get blurred on who’s fault this is.

All money collected by the state to allow electronic devices to access pornography would be deposited in the John McCain Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation Fund, which the bill creates. The Commerce Authority, in conjunction with the director of the Department of Public Safety, would give grants out of the fund “to uphold community standards of decency” and “developing, expanding or strengthening programs for victims of sex abuse.”

At the top of the list of 10 explicit things the grants can be used for is “build a border wall between Mexico and this state or fund border security.”

Other grant purposes include mental health services, temporary housing, assisting victims, training, assisting school districts and assisting law enforcement.

It is unclear if the McCain family is supportive of the legislation or a fund created in the late senator’s name.

No fukking shame. :dwillhuh:

Dude, stop posting. Dems passed a bill in the House; Mitch refuses to bring it up for a vote in the Senate. It's as simple as that.
