I’ll just say this, I’m a federal worker over here in Japan. I’m damn lucky that I’m not affected by the shutdown as I’ve could’ve been on the other side of this. Japan doesn’t give two fcuks about a US government shutdown. Rent, Bills etc still have to be paid accordingly and on time or else.
With that being said, this has become a complete failure on both sides and I feel bad for the people caught in the middle of this madness. It’s sad and frustrating that this happening.

The constitution has checks and balances to prevent the president from spending money without the approval of Congress.
Trump is holding 800,000 people hostage because he cant spend that money with the approval of Congress. This is for a wall paid with Tax payer money, not money from the Mexican government, like he said.
