American are pussies. why aren't government workers walking out and in dc tearing shyt up? i see all these people on interviews with all these cry me a river stories looking pathetic. get off y'all ass get your colleagues and start making some noise or breaking shyt. there should be thousands if not hundreds of thousands of these people in front the white house and capital hill right now, know wonder these politicians do this shyt.
i feel bad for the workers, but if it's that bad for you then go start a riot or get a new fukkin job

it's your life :yeshrug: i havent been affected in one fukkin way by the shutdown, and neither has most of the country, which is why it doesn't seem like it's a big deal. show us that it is. go march on washington

1. I think most Americans sympathize with ppl losing their jobs over something they had no control over.

2. These workers provide a convenience and service to most Americans in certain industries and if this shutdown continues that inconvenience and impact will be widespread.

A good read and the sobering reality that Trumpists refuse to accept.

Pretty much what I said in an earlier post even though not saying I was being especially profound and this is much better than how I said it.
“This is where it gets complicated,” admits Rep. David Price (D-N.C.), who helped manage the annual Homeland Security appropriations bill under Bush. “Trump’s wall has become a symbol of a broader set of immigration policies that are just reprehensible. … It’s hard to escape the effect of it becoming a much more fraught debate than it might be, if we were just talking about matter-of-fact proposals about how you secure the border.”

Trump, ironically "the great negotiator" has made his job harder than it has to be by being a fukking prick and a blatant racist. When the debate is framed in that environment, half the motivation and opposition to Trump is to just not give into his racist rhetoric in general than it is about the wall itself. When you attack everyone and everything, they don't want to work with your ass out of spite.

If the news announced that Trump didn't wake up tomorrow there will be cheering in many households. If he simply wasn't a prick, he probably would have had his wall money and maybe even more money for it a long time ago.

It's not his fault, some people are just born lacking the ability to feel empathy for other human beings. :heh:

We had daca and tps when Trump came into office so no deal.
Blows my mind Trump had the house, senate, judge vacancies, democrats willing to negotiate, and he blew it all. I hope the new blood of the Democratic party never let the Republicans slide on their enabling of Donald Trump. Such short-sidedness is a staple of the GOP

So if the Dems don't take the deal do they lose support?

At this stage does it matter or is letting Trump know he can't negotiate while hold government hostage more important?
