Companies just don't hand out good jobs just because you have a degree. Rejection is part of the game.

Live at home or with roommates as long as possible. I'm talking years. Once you live by yourself it's hard to go back to the roommate thing.
- Do not trust CACs under any circumstances
- stack your $
- stay in shape
- leave the booze / drugs / cigarettes alone
- use your credit for a crib, not cars and BS
- travel
- get as much “quality” p*ssy as you can and strap up
- your time is the most valuable thing you have
- your health is also the most valuable thing
- you don’t need to be married for kids
- get a piece of property and pay it off
- listen to as much 70s/80s/90s music you can find
- life will be harder if you are not handsome gang
- fukk religion
- nothing matters in the long run, so do you
- p*ssy is a depreciating asset no matter what anyone says
- find some OGs and LISTEN to them
- humble yourself if someone is giving you game for free
- learn your fukking history. It will help you avoid a lot of BS
- you are not Superman so don’t cape for anyone that’s not your kin
- very low chance you will find real friends as you get old so whoever you roll with now, take a hard look at them
- don’t tell the whole world your business
- learn as much tech as you can tolerate and I don’t mean social media

positive rep. Son gave you game that I wish I knew at 22. Then again, I was hustling with no real path at 22

If you can, don’t move to a major metro immediately. Find something low key so you can really stack up (this is coming from someone who lives in one of the most expensive cities in the world, shyt will have you reevaluate everything).

Preach!

Sad reality. I had so many “ogs” lead me on a path to distraction that I had to fall back and ask myself “what am I doing?!?!?”

I remember waking up 24, in my parents crib like “this is not it, I have to do something.” 3 months later I’m off to the next city and never looked back. That was 10 years ago

Title.

I’m 22, and currently, I am on the job hunt and finishing up school. I’m learning how big networking is as well, because I’m getting some crazy looks just because I know so and so.

I am investing and saving pretty heavily and really wanna do any/ everything I can to make more $$ with my $$.

Regarding finding a place, it’s likely I’ll be going back for a few months after I find a job in order to stack $$ and find an actual place.

I’m very big into self improvement and fitness. Everyday I’m trying to become more disciplined, because I’m finding that discipline seems to be a key to a good life.

I just want to keep all of the momentum I have currently to keep building. If there’s something I need to be doing as a young man, I’d like to know other things I can do now to become better tomorrow, next week and so on
Drop everything you are doing and start a black business.

Best advise I can give is to keep educating yourself and build your career. Not sure what your field is but building solid profile by 30yo will make life easier for you.

And try to scoop up a good girl early. It pays off in the long run.

:lupe:One thing that has helped me is that i think as hard as i can about five times a week

I just sit there for 20-45 minutes or so .. Thinking about what i know, and what i don't know, what people think i know (or they would hope i know)... Etc

Sometimes i actually break a sweat..
My resting pulse is high 50's
With my polar monitor, I have measured 75+ bpm while seated at a desk

The sensation of thinking is difficult to describe,---
it feels like various comp sci sorting algorithms working at cross purposes inside my head..
Starting off sluggish:flabbynsick: and then getting more frenzied
It is downright unpleasant
It is akin to speed reading where you suppress all subvocalization and commit to a pace you can't maintain

My best ideas don't come out of these thinking sessions.. In fact, it is rare that anything useful happens

But my best output is usually a 2-4 hour burst ... Which happens 30-60 minutes after one of these sort-thinks

Whatever it is you do.. If you are going to be great at it, you need to find a way to reliably summon your peak performance

Do you got a degree in something IT?

If not.....:mjtf:

I was 17 when you was born bruh..if you need advice let a old nikka know:martin:
Yea bro I do need advice. My degree is poli sci, and my goal is to become an attorney. Since I feel really burnt out from school, I’m deciding to start working instead of going straight thru (plus I wanna get into a really good law school). Currently, I’m trying to get in at one of my local firms. And I’m actually pretty good when it comes to tech, in school I work a tech position and have been using that for potential tech careers

lately I have been feeling overwhelmed, lost, and confused regarding the steps I should be taking post college. I want to maximize every opportunity possible

Keep learning, don’t buy an expensive car, stay at your first full-time job for at least a couple of years, take advantage of networking on LinkedIn. I have gotten my past 4 jobs from LinkedIn. These were good jobs too, that paid very well.

How do you try to finesse the situation on LinkedIn? What I’m really bad at is asking people for stuff, I hate doing it
