Title.

I’m 22, and currently, I am on the job hunt and finishing up school. I’m learning how big networking is as well, because I’m getting some crazy looks just because I know so and so.

I am investing and saving pretty heavily and really wanna do any/ everything I can to make more $$ with my $$.

Regarding finding a place, it’s likely I’ll be going back for a few months after I find a job in order to stack $$ and find an actual place.

I’m very big into self improvement and fitness. Everyday I’m trying to become more disciplined, because I’m finding that discipline seems to be a key to a good life.

I just want to keep all of the momentum I have currently to keep building. If there’s something I need to be doing as a young man, I’d like to know other things I can do now to become better tomorrow, next week and so on
Get ya class A CDL young breh. Thank me later. A few of the brehs on this site can put you on game

Hell ya big dawg. I’m not gonna lie, after my savings hit a certain point, I’m gonna think a savings acct is pointless (I already do).

Aside from the stock market what are good ways to save/ compound your $$?
Save to the point you got a solid 10K in savings just in case something happens. You never know.

The rest? Pay bills and periodically put part of your paycheck into your brokerage account

Right now, anything that pays well and where I have potential to move up. A lot of Diversity and Inclusion stuff, and some tech positions as well
Did you do any internships while you were in school?

Mannnn I’m after the money too lol had the chase not been worth it in your experience? I thought finance was where the $$ at

also, yes I’m definitely willing to relocate. For a few of the jobs I’ve applied to, I’ve indicated that as well, but I’m not sure how the “apply for jobs out of state” process looks like, esp when you hired and it’s time to move

I can break that down for you if you get one of them opportunities.

Basically, they use a third-party vendor to pay you a lump sum amount to cover all your moving expenses. You negotiate that amount once you get your job offer. Now other companies make you use their moving and travel agent, and they will only cover things like ending your lease early, moving costs. Moving vehicle cost, etc., I prefer the lump sum to create my budget and save money.

I dislike my company, not the job.

A whole lot of serious advice in this thread that I wished I had had back when I was a youngster :flabbynsick:

Just to add on it, travel as much as you can/want. As we all can see, anything can happen nowadays, including a fukking pandemic, and I'm out here regretting every single trip I didn't take because "Oh well, I'll go next year". There's so much to see and experience out there, it adds so much to your life imo. All that material stuff is nice, but trust me travelling in your 20s is not like travelling when you're in your 30s, and def not like travelling when you're in your 40s. Along the same lines, if you have any hobby/interest, whatever it is, invest time in it. Even if it's not to make a career out of it, there has to be more to your life than "just" making money, investing and paying bills. Exercise regularly, even if it's just light work. As long as you do it regularly. Walk. Try new things/activities regularly, keep your horizon open. I'd advice not to really think about fully "settling down" before at least 30.

And obviously : WEAR A CONDOM :ufdup::ufdup::ufdup::ufdup::ufdup::ufdup:

In addition, find a Primary Care Physician and a Dentist. Make sure you visit both once a year
