As far as the Grizzlies go, I think what'll be interesting to watch is if they sign Ed Davis to a long term extension before the deadline this month. He seemed to be on the rise in Toronto before they shockingly traded him, and has played well this preseason.
If they do, I think there's a very good chance that the Grizzlies trade Zach Randolph by the deadline and have Davis step in as a cheaper younger replacement. Could be a game changer if a contender can get him for an expiring and a 2014 first rounder. He'd be a much cheaper alternative to Aldridge or Love if either team doesn't play well.
It's also amazing how much we talked about Rudy Gay's untradeable contract considering he will most likely be traded AGAIN this season.
