- Alcorn St. 45, Samford 45: Steve McNair broke the Division I-AA career passing yardage record Saturday, leading Alcorn State (6-2-1) back from a 35-13 deficit to tie Samford (2-5-1) in Birmingham, Ala. McNair scored on a 6-yard run with :55 remaining, then surged into the end zone for a two-point conversion to tie the game. McNair was 37 of 63 for 563 yards and four TDs. He broke the passing record in the third quarter, hitting Kobie Jenkins with an 11-yard pass to bring his career total to 13,487. The previous record of 13,220 was held by Neil Lomax of Portland State from 1977-80.

Dude had dudes missing like Bo on Tecmo Bowl in the backfield and throwing that bytch 60 yards downfield with a flick of his wrist.

Mcnair came along in the wrong era with limited tv exposure and whatnot but even still without tv and social media hype he was a Heisman candidate putting up some crazy numbers. They knew he was the truth though that's why he went number 3 in he draft and for he most part he lived up to that billing.
