Right now the Clippers are going through that reflection stage by writers and pundits about "what went wrong", "why Lob City failed", etc etc.

Obviously I'll always remember Lob City for the choke against the Thunder and Rockets in back to back playoffs. But I can't talk shyt though because I'll remember the T-Mac/Yao era for that choke against the Jazz in game 7 at home... and blowing the 0-2 lead vs the Mavs in year 1.

And T-Mac getting hurt in '09 when we may have had the most stacked team if healthy (took LA to 7 in round 2, with Yao literally breaking his foot to get us in position).

Basically, for both teams, a lot of hype that just ended in disappointment :francis:

Which team of the last 15-20 years has been the biggest disappointment? I don't care if it was due to injuries or choke jobs or all the above, but a team you look back at like "How the hell did this not work out? :gucci:"

or, alternatively "I knew they weren't shyt "

Steve Nash
Joe Johnson

Shawn Marion
Amare Stoudemire

damn near perfect lineup

I don't know what the advance stats say, but I always felt that was the best iteration of that team. The very next year Joe John bounced and Stoudemire's knees broke down.

It's a shame Joe Johnson fractured his face before that Spurs series, although it'd still be hard to go against the Spurs given how they were playing.
