i think its cool for people who dont celebrate...they can shop and do their thing..i know thats a huge minority here but ive dealt with it at times on the food front

shyt for like 3 years after my grandma died my mom said fukk Thanksgiving and we didnt have a meal..and i was out there HOPING a pizza place was open and 99% of them werent except for the Turkish joints that held me down...

people forget that everyone doesnt celebrate the same shyt. with that said though i think its bullshyt that people are missing their family dinners to make someone rich who is at home eating dinner most likely.

Eh, it's not like NOBODY works on Holidays so I wouldn't call it unfair unless people are being forced to do it and there are some people that don't mind because they need the money or whatever. When I worked in retail, I worked holidays with no problem. Time and a half and I still saw my fam once I got off.

Also Holidays are the same time every year. You don't want to work? Request off early and give them plenty of notice. Once your request is approved, management can suck ass. I put in my end of the year time off early September.

If you're working in retail, you WILL be working on Black Friday or you will be out of a job.

Its Not The End Of The World, Im Sure Most Places Have A Schedule Where If You Work On Thanksgiving You Get Christmas Off, shyt Like That, They Also Have Newbies Doing Alot Of The Seasonal Work (People Who Actually Take The Job Knowing They Have To Work Holidays) So The Real Workers Can Time Those Times Off

People Talking About Family Values Dont Even Look At Their Family Members Unless Its Some BS Holiday

You'd be surprised. Time & a half + working overtime means something to workers working on minimum wage or $9 a hour wages. People have to stop & think about why these stores are opening earlier & earlier and it's because customers want it to shop earlier & are inclined to do their holiday shopping earlier & earlier.

I understand people's outrage over stores being open on Thanksgiving, but we can't rely on one people's set of values being the values for EVERYBODY when it comes to holiday shopping.

i'd literally rather have pizza tonight,but since that won't be happening i'll just soak in this delectable chocolate Shock Top and some Sour D/Cookies..

thee thing that gets me about holidays minus my own convictions&understanding of history is how arbitrary thee whole thing is,why do you have to wait to feast sumptuously on Thanksgiving,why can't you just eat Turkey on November 8th or some shyt,why does it have to be on Thanksgiving..
