As the only publicly owned team, the Packers are required to show their books to shareholders. This gives an insight to the rest of the league.

It’s crazy. You receive 430Ms from National monies. You still have your local broadcast revenue, gate, parking, food, and advertising.
:wow:
All those millions just to profit 83Ms?
:picard:
Then again some company’s margins are a hell of a lot lower so the Packers are winning.

The big payout comes when you sell it though.
Just using green bay numbers. D Synder paid 800 million in 1999 for the Redskins. So he ( or his ownership group), made 2 billion over 23 years. Here comes the joke. He pissed the NFL of so they made him sell it for 6.05 billion.

No municipality should be taxing its citizens to build a stadium unless they open their books.
Commanders are putting up $2.5 billion for RFK Stadium site in DC.

But the city has to come up with $1 billion and initial proposals had the city not getting direct tax revenue from the site!

Yes. It's like that city has a sick perverse desire for that team to be there. I own a big rog, but no city will front me for a new one.

Last 6 years the RFK site has had no sports or anything happening. They did convert a couple of the parking lots into soccer fields but that's it. I drive by it a lot and its just a wasteland.
