That's a fact I'm looking to pop out to Rucker, Dyckman, West 4th, Hoops In The Sun as much as I can. The energy and culture strong. I ain't even mention JellyFam and Moses Brown (5 star, 6th in ESPN 100, 7'1 center).
just something different bout that city/east coast game
style for days
they just gotta start breaking through to the big stage

If this kid can achieve what BX legend, Rod Strickland, achieved - he might end up shinning positive light on NY prospects. But I doubt it. :russ:

BX's son, who's the greatest PG ever out of NY? - Mark Jackson, Rod Strickland, Kenny Smith, or Stephon Marbury? :dame:

Tiny Archibald is the best PG from NY IMO.

I don't know why you're so hard on NY prospects. There's several productive pros and some prospects from NY in the NBA right now. If you're into high school basketball its a pretty hot region and the next couple of drafts are going to see elite prospects from NY come out of here starting this year and for the next few drafts.

I'm not hard on NY - NY prospects just seem to never take the next leap/progression when it comes to translating their game into the NBA, like talents from Cali and Chicago for example. Even Jersey is ahead of NY with Kyrie and KAT. Paul George, James Harden, Westbrook, Kawhi, Lillard, Love, and DeRozan are all from Cali. And the likes of Anthony Davis, Wade, and Jabari Parker, Derrick Rose, and Patrick Beverley are from Chicago.

NY players are always being caught up in the streets and trying to be too hard.

Kyrie and KAT are from NJ suburbs that are part of what is considered the NY metropolitan area. Kyrie for example grew up in West Orange, New Jersey which is half an hour away from NYC. His father and god father Drederick Irving and Rod Strickland are NY playground legends. Every summer Kyrie hosts the Kyrie Strickland basketball tournament/camp in the South Bronx. Kyrie played his AAU ball for New Jersey Road Runners and competed for Rumble In The Bronx in his summers.

Anyway talking about regions in 2017 is pointless, all these kids are AAU babies who travel extensively playing basketball, many elite prospects across the nation attend powerhouse prep schools like Oak Hill, Montverde, South Kent, IMG Academy and catholic schools far from home.

NY had a bit of a dry period in the last decade but they're churning out elite prospects that you'll see in the NBA after these next couple of drafts. :manny:
