Exactly. People are complaining about him playing, but deactivation is not a punishment. It is a PR move to make the team look better. If people really cared about the issue, they would focus on what happens to the players and women moving forward. I haven't heard much about any type of counseling or treatment for Rice or about the welfare of the women in these cases. Everybody talks about how many games are missed. If this is supposed to be a bigger issue than football, people should start acting like it.
Ok first of all people have been commenting on these exact issues but the NFL muddied the issue by not punishing the players adequately from the jump or even having penalites in place.

They should of done this and had him miss the first 6 games the backlash shouldn't have to get to extreme levels before they act

i mean he was found guilty, im not sure what they were thinking

i know hes appealing but they would saved themselves a lot of grief

Man got convicted for assaulting and threatening a woman what does that have to do with political correctness ???? Only reason he hadn't Been thrown to the bushes is cause he's still a good player. Political correctness was the SAS Beadle situation and the dungy / Sam thing .

I'm not condoning his actions, but the only reason he's being punished is because of the NFL is hyper sensitive to negative PR right now.

Ok then blame the nfl for not acting from jump not the PC police or tmz. If hardy got a suspension moment he was convicted the media wouldn't be saying shyt

Do you remember what shows or articles dicussed it recently? I saw several morning news shows on friday (Today, Morning Joe, CBS) and I dont recall them saying anything about how the families/victims move forward. They did applaud the Ravens owner for cutting Ray Rice though. I just don't understand how the football penalty of missing 2-3 games, especially Hardy's, really makes much of a difference in their actual lives. If Ray Rice was suspended for four games, it seems like there wouldn't have been the public outcry, but that doesn't make everything better. Hardy would probably be playing without the media backlash. It just seems like people are discussing this because it brings in ratings without adressing all aspects of the issue.
