Dude sounds dope, but signing to Shady in 2021 seems like a waste. Only dude who got an actual push was Obie Trice back in 03
D12 went platinum

Still mad Eminem ruined that Conway track Bang. Conway went in so hard over that beat and then Em just ruins it with his bullshyt verse. Shoulda just threw Benny on there and called it a day![]()
griselda was never going to sell units. Their music is outdated and not marketable. Their best bet is to get a drake stimulus for like 1000 more fans and to hop on other people's shyt like travis which is what gunn is doing. They won't ever go gold or have a hit but their presence will be felt because other artists will adopt some of their shyt. Idk who this nikka is. He's trash. People gotta stop blaming Em for everything tho. Yall think talent is there but don't know what the average rap fan wants to hear. Nobody wanna hear a 40 year old rapper rap about coke like pusha t if they aint been here for 10-15 years.
So whose fault is that?Em gave SH a cee-lo feature (when he was a popstar) over a just blaze beat and they still couldn’t sell
Griselda is in exactly the lane they aimed to be in & they shouldn’t change a thing. Not everybody aspires to be a superstar of the mainstream variety. That would totally compromise their sound and movement. This is exactly what I’ve said every time this subject is discussed. Griselda appeal to a niche market. I’d they ever want to break out of that, the need to work with artists that can give them mainstream appeal.
They even shot themselves in the foot by disrespecting Eminem and his fans, and you know the latter are loyal and would support anything associated to Eminem.
Do you see the way conducts his business with artists? He signs them then doesn't do shyt to help them. We've see it with Slaughterhouse, Stat Quo, Cashis, Bobby Creekwater, etc. etc. Now he was doing the same with Griselda. They were upset and didn't hold back. You want them to kiss his ass while he makes them collect dust on the label so they are no longer useful? They are already older artists, they can't wait forever.

I don’t know what sort of mainstream success you could expect from Griselda? What they have really done is start to help reshape the sound of the underground in the past few years. They intended to bring that rugged grimy sound back & have really done a tremendous job with that. WWCD doesn’t sound at all like an album that was intended for the mainstream masses to blow up. That was crafted with the purpose that they absolutely will not compromise their sound ever. That’s fine if they want to stay in their lane,, but the narrative that Shady stopped them from reaching mainstream is completely false.
In my opinion they should be wondering what their management Roc Nation is doing.

Benny seems to being quite alright and he doesn’t have a major deal nor does he need one. They have a niche market. I personally am not expecting anything, or said I’m expecting anything. My point is the assumption here is that Shady records(they signed a distribution deal and were able to release music outside of Shady) held them back in some way. Based on your ideology, it doesn’t really matter where they sign to, the outcome and record sales will still be the same. Unfortunately that is a concept that people don’t want to understand.
