Nah, there's a thing called restricted free agency for 2nd contracts and teams have the right to match any offer.

Memphis is in great position after the Gay trade. They are well under the luxury tax, they can re-sign Allen and get a shooter and a backup Center with the mid level exception. Randolph has a couple seasons on his contract left and they will be in position to re-sign Gasol and Conley as they enter their primes.

This new ownership have shown not to over bid for players. If the market show that player would get max money from other teams. They would either trade him, so they want over pay for his production. Or that player would demand a trade, which can play out ugly and cause counterproduction in the locker room. A team right now can easily over bid for Tony Allen. Mike Conley and Marc Gasol are not dominant players. You have to build around dominant players. Players who other teams can't shut down. Mike Conley always get shut down by Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, Tony Parker, and Ty Lawson. Chris Paul and Tony Parker even laughed when Mike Conley was guarding them. Marc Gasol is not as effective without Z-Bo. Mike Conley is not even a top 25 player.

Z-Bo was the only true player on the team, that could put the team his back and dominant a game against teams like Clippers, Spurs, and OKC. But the thing with Z-Bo is he too inconsistent.
