50 dont have a great album to me, he has great moments on his albums though and when you add up his great moments across his career its a hell of a run and catalogue. i was listening to window shopper at the gym and the headphones i had was crazy and wow, that is just a great song in terms of sonics and musicality. obv the subject matter played out as hell but everything else. 50 is slept on as just a constructor of songs period. his vocal tone is one of the most musical instruments we have ever heard in rap. honestly i thing the best of 50 is as good as any one to ever come out of NY. in many ways, he is NY’s version of Dre, even though he doesnt produce, but i get the same sense of expertise in terms of song craft, musically and sound wise from him.

madd albums yall call "classic" that i think were just dope at best, this is one of them. when i first heard it i thought it was garbage, the lyrics were so simplistic, and the subject matter was so meaningless. then after a few more listens i started thinking it was dope, maybe 4 mics, nothing higher tho.

Patiently Waiting (on the fence about this one)
Blood Hound
Pimp
Like My Style
Poor Lil Rich
21 Questions
Don't Push Me

All them joints were skippable to me, not trash, they was decent, but blah, everything else was fire tho. I actually thought the Massacre was a little better, i'm sure i'm in the minority there, it's just that the Massacre was 4 or 5 songs too long tho, plus people were ready to hate by then.

Patiently Waiting is arguably a top 5 collab song ever. PIMP is a goat single, Poor Lil Rich is fire, Don't Push Me is a goat posse cut, 21 Questions another classic single, Blood Hound is fire..Like My Style is great as well.

breh, you delusional.

Are you retarded? No one still listens to MBDTF? Is that your criteria of why it's not a great album?

And how the fukk doesn't MBDTF sound like hip hop? Oh it doesn't have enough DJ Premier and Black Milk beats? get the fukk out of here

aren't you an ASAP Rocky fan? MBDTF doesn't sound like hip hop but shyt like LSD and ALLA does?

Lmao @ MBDTF being overrated and GRODT not

:camby:gtfoh bruh, are you Kanye? Lol relax b.

You really think a cat like this has no personality?

I see some posters on the Coli talking about Nas, Prodigy and 50 have no personality. and I'm just like :what:

I think some people just don't understand the Queens style of rhyming. It's conversational, sorta mellow but tough in its own way.

50 also has a very strong sense of humor. If he didn't have any personality on wax, Get Rich wouldn't have worked the magic it did.

We're here more than 10 years later still saying "Damn homie!!!! in HIGH SCHOOL you was THE MAN, HOMIE!" in the exact same cadence 50 said it. But somehow 50 has no personality and GRODT is overrated trash.

:deadmanny:
lol right? If 50 Cent is a no personality, what the fukk are these new rappers like Troy Ave. :mjlol:

Sounds like I'm hating on 50, but it's actually admiration. I'm not this nikka's fan by any means, but just an observation....if only more talented rappers/groups had taken branding as serioiusly as 50 And Master P did....we'd stop hearing corny untrue statements like "people don't care about talent anymore"

dont compare him to master p.

master p has LEGIT classic albums.

:childplease:

I feel like some of them clowns at KTT are starting to trickle over here. Recently, we've seemingly had a spike in Kanye dikkriding, and it's pretty annoying if I do say so myself.

im over here rolling over this kanye classic talk.

especially that irrelevant ass MBDTF album.
