Thanks to the soulless/lifeless beats from that era most of the music didn't age all that well...But GRODT was a classic, and yes the situation/promotion and timing of it definitely helped it just like with many classics....Nobody outside of NY cared about a lot of albums yall like to consider classic, not sure why that would even be bought up here as if that matters now:comeon:

GRODT is not the first hyped album, theres been many nobody in real life Ive met considers classic or cares about,MBDTF being one of them....And no I'm not a 50 or Kanye stan, both fell off something horrible:mjlol:

Those singles off GRODT were so big you almost don't want or need to hear them no more....Its a lot of classic albums where the singles got so big its almost stupid to play em,don't mean the album stinks or wasn't classic....I have no urge to hear Snoop Dogg (Whats My name) is that not a classic record?Havent really had a chance to miss hearing GRODT because the singles still get play...Timeless classic?only time will tell, but my gut tells me I felt like it was classic then and it still is now last time I heard it,noticed the beats wasnt that good no more but its not to the point you can strip it of classic status yall:whoa:.

GRODT was dope.

OP is missing the point of GRODT. It's not supposed to be a lyrical masterpiece. It was an album of hood anthems.

That's the problem with 50 his whole career was built off propaganda, hype & anthems that's why his music sucks now & pretty much the last 10 yrs

Grodt was dope but it's nothing timeless about it

50 beefs with rappers with better music & skill & moguls richer than what is his purpose in hiqp-hop besides propaganda there are no wins for that

He is basically a top 5 character in hip-hop that's pretty much his claim to fame

mack jack black loose cracks smack plus the island is packed wit black rats mack :scust:

bars tbh

Your dads a fakkit, fakkit.

Kanye is hacky, jiggy era/backpack hybrid buffoon who manages to still sound terrible even when raps are written for him. He's certainly cresting top 5 all time shameful black person lists (he's #1 IMO) and has been puffys successor in the snuffing out of quality rap music. Snake oil salesman of the highest order.

He's an absolute worthless piece of garbage.

:scust: @ typing that hating ass manifesto for a man you've never met. Get your priorities straight if random celebrities are making you feel this strongly consistently.

1. No. I dictate what's great by what has replay value and staying power. At least half of GRODT has way more staying power than anything off MBTDF. And you know it, too.

2. All those songs are shyt with weak ass drums and/or non-hip hop rhythms. Who cares whether it has a 70s drum break or not? That's the type of shyt some arthouse cac would say. At the end of the day, do [and I hate to say it] Kanye bust his guns when it comes to this production shyt? No. His beats are corny on this.

3. Please don't call me 'little.' I'm probably older than you. Of course, now that I've said that, I'll get the "you out of touch" cliche and mindless remarks.

lol at you thinking this is good arguing.

"non hip-hop raps" :dead:What does that even mean breh? "Bust his guns in this production"? :trash: level ramblings

and OP ain't much better, still waiting on those Big Sean verses breh. @Don Jesus

Looking back :fif: was never about good music, it was his street credibility character

Once that hype is over and it's just about the music, listening to his music is just

C3's purpose was to further extend Wayne's popularity to white surburbia, and it worked, worked well too, because even hood nikkas was jamming to it

Homie, you are not lying AT ALL. White bytches was sprung on Weezy and Gucci Mane summer 2008.

I was like 19, about to be 20 in 2008 when C3 dropped.

I still think the leaks leading up to C3 were better than the actual LP itself. However, I can't deny he had 2008 in his hands. Every house party a nikka went to then was playing all them singles off that album.

Me calling you a fakkit doesn't mean I'm angry, and I wouldn't call someone a fakkit for solely disagreeing with me, I call people fakkits for not acting like adults, such as dikkheads like yourself
