What this means is that Luke isn’t going back to closing yet.
Ideally they wanna use him earlier in high leverage situations. They really want Devin to remain closer.

I get that Boone’s trying to keep people happy and make sure everyone gets to play, but if a dude gets 3 hits the day before, PLAY HIM! The Yankees not believing in momentum and hot streaks is annoying. They sat Judge ONCE and his average fell 30 points. If someone’s getting into a rhythm, wait til he cools down. It’s that simple.
