All the bullshyt aside you knew everyone in whatever court or building from day 1. shyts like a big extended family. Even growing up you can remember what building you're from and where you built from. :salute: to all my fellow project babys

There was nothing good about growing up in the projects
All the hot trends start in the trenches, back then when you couldn’t hop on social media to see what’s poppin. Plus the whole aura being in one is like no other all the charismatic characters that stay in the hood you won’t catch as much in more affluent areas

I kinda feel OP. It is good memories, and if u get into some shyt, you could get yo whole building behind you. But, I don't miss pissy elevators and hallways, nikkas fighting just cuz they live in different buildings that's not even a football field apart from each other. Having to run thru hella hallways because 12 like to slide thru every other hour. Ppl assuming just cuz u live in the Jects you hella dirty, or broke, or just wild af.

nikkas really need to stop thinking growing up in poverty is a good thing.

Growing up in near the bottom of the rung is the best thing that ever happened to me, if i grew up with money id be a completely different person, with different thoughts and values. Being broke and not having too much money to distract me gave me a perspective i wouldn't have had otherwise.
