It’s much easier for the safety to break for the ball because he’s already deep and was focused on Celeb the entire time. DJ was running a route and by the time he turned and looked back, the ball was in the air and it was too late.
Once Caleb masters the art of game managing, that's when I'll truly be impressed with him.
The best games he's performed in that role was the 2nd Minny game and the Philly game.
Right now he's just a playmaker, that let's that big arm ring. Throwback gunslinger archetype that has a true will to win. I love it but you rarely win Super Bowls like that. I trust that Ben Johnson will coach him up enough.
We truly have a passer now, I'm surprised Caleb put the ball in harms way so much as that hasn't been his MO in the league.

If dj runs his route correctly flatted his route and is running full speed it's a easy completion because he would've crossed in front of the safety that's why he didn't take post game interviews he know he was at fault on the last play

Loss only bothers me because we had a legit chance to win it. Should have taken the points on field goals. Caleb should have used his legs more you in dead cold trying to air it out. Just needed 20 more yards for a field goal in OT and we had plenty time. Didn't need to make home run plays just dink dunk and run to get 20 yards.
But in the end Im proud of this team and looking forward to the future. We wasn't even supposed to be here.

THIS! Given the aggressive play calling from Johnson all game, I was stunned they didn't go for two and the win. I find it hard to believe the Ram's defense would've been able to bounce back so quickly from that miraculous throw. Just put the ball in Caleb's hands, roll him out, and allow him to make a play with his legs or off script as he's prone to do.

Personally I feel they did the right thing. They got stuffed on 4th a couple times this game. They don't get the 2 Ben is getting killed for not just tying it.
My issue is in overtime. We got the stop we needed and made the plays to get down field. Just get in field goal range. If Santos misses we still got a game. Just got to get another stop. But going for the kill shot plays in OT cost us. Just needed 20 yards for a field goal. Smh
In fairness, Odunze has been dropping passes all season and Caleb has connected with DJ multiple times this season on last minute heroics. I think it was a combination of DJ and Caleb fukking up the play. DJ should have flattened his route once he saw the safety jump it and not quit running. Caleb should've thrown it more towards the sidelines as well based off the safety jumping the route.Caleb had Odunze open if he just throw's it to the endzone. Defender already fukked up going for Moore, no one is on Odunze.
Just a terrible decision all around from Caleb. Shady said on speakeasy that Moore probably halfassed the route because he wasnt expecting the ball, because his route was just to confuse the defender and get Odunze open, which it did.
Moore was never open to begin with, idk why he threw it to him in the first place.
You can always find an analyst to support a particular take.
