I don't give a fukk, wasnt buying it anyway lol...

as for people asking why they put it on ps3 and not ps4: they've said it's cause they've had 2 gts on each system so far, and they wanted to continue the trend....yall right though, they rushed to get this out, and it shows...but please believe gt7 is not as far off as yall think...while working on gt6, they were working on 7....that shyt will be here in 2 years...and that shyt will be off the hook...

as for the ones comparing gt and forza: just wait for a couple years...cause not only will gt7 be coming, but that'll be when xbox1 gets a real forza...don't get me wrong, forza 5 is nice looking and fun to play, but that shyt is gimped cause it was rushed to be a launch title and they wanted it to look pretty (seriously, no night driving nor weather effects? come on, that's standard in racing games)...anyway, in a couple years, we'll get the forza they really wanted to make, and gt7 will be out, then yall can make yall comparisons about next gen racing...as for gens past, gt is still the standard worldwide, but forza has closed the gap in the US...they not even, but forza is knocking on the door...

side note: looking at that fatboi and smooth shyt shows yall take this a lil too seriously lol

You actually have to fight to keep the car under control. You can feel when the tires loose grip individually. With the rumble triggers you can feel when the breaks lock up or when the tires are spinning, therefore you can take the car to its limits just by using feel. These limits are different with each car as they should be and the rumble triggers help to enhance those differences in a tangible way.

Just like driving a real super car, any loss of concentration means you will loose control of the car. There is a constant sense of danger and excitement in the Forza games that is just not there in the GT series.

Good points. What you just described are what racing sims are supposed to portray. The more info you can get from the controller the better. Please understand though, that no matter how good that gets, it'll never be in the same ball park as using a good force feedback wheel.

Regarding the bolded. GT approaches difficulty in a different manner that Forza does. You get the same sense of danger you mentioned, but it's totally up to the player. It's all in the driving aids/assists and tire choices which range from Comfort(your everyday all seasonal tires that comes standard with your Camry/Accord) to Racing slicks. Top GT sim heads don't race with assists and only run low grip tires or tires that matches the level of grip for the selected real-life car which allows for "constant sense of danger and excitement" GT sells a lot, and not everyone plays it for the sim aspect of the game. Some people just wanna collect cars, some just wanna drive supercars, some just get it because they have a PS3 and it's GT. PD had made the level of difficulty scale-able. What they have not done though, is build the physics around controller players. Time Trial and GT Academy competitions are where the scale-ability stops. To get any where near the top you're gonna need a wheel period. It's the total opposite with Forza. Controller players are not supposed got toe to toe with wheel players for top spots on leaderboards, though I will admit that there are a few anomalies, the level of control you get with wheel is in a totally different ball park. If you have ever tracked/race cars or even auto-crossed you'd understand. You don't take the top 16 fastest controller players in the country and put them in real cars. That's just asking for trouble. GT Academy is proof enough of GT's physics.

You are comparing controller to wheel, not the physics of the games.

And seeing how the overwhelming majority of people play with controllers it's actualy a testament to turn 10s accomplishments that controller players have enough control to compete with wheel players.

I'm done here. This is my last post regarding anything sim racing related on this forum.

I also think that these games have become similar to Madden. And what I mean by that is that cats complain about Madden not being as good as it used to when the reality is that as the game has become more realistic, cats have complained more. The older versions of Madden were some of the most cheese filled corny games ever made. People say they want sim, but in reality they don't. They want "pseudo" sim.
You say this while defending GT which in
many circles is considered exactly that, a "pseudo-sim".
Which is where most of the problems people have
with the GT series lie, they don't have a problem with it being "Too realistic"
they have an issue with it not being realistic enough

It's the reason simulators like iracing,GTR and rfactor2
have such hardcore followings. Because those guys
want the most realistic physics models possible and they're
willing to shell out the cash for it.

I'm a guy whose played the GT series on and off for over
a decade and I love it but I also realize that if I left GT and
started playing a real sim racer, I'd get lapped and embarassed.
Shoulda just dropped on the great station 4.

Are there really ps2 models in the game tho?

-DMP-
Yes.
The reason they have such high number counts
is because they reused content from GT4.
The same way they reused whole tracks from GT5.
