Lame ass music. NY needs to go back to the roots and forget trying to be everyone else.
IDK why everybody else gets to progress in they own ways while NY gotta go back to dust hop. Most young nikkas in NY aint feeling dust hip hop no more. And I dont say dust hop to be disrespectful, but thats pretty much how they view it. The "black" areas that remain in NY probably vibe with the ATL sound more than they would to some Rakim, Wu-Tang, etc etc. They giving they own take to the music that influences them, it aint them trying to bite per se. Even Desiigner doing his own thing at this point, you gotta let artist breathe instead of trying to corner em. Joey for the longest was losing hype cause his fanbase kept spouting this "go back to 1999" shyt. That aint marketable outside of NY anyway.
