LOL you know a new argument they gonna use to fight gun control?

Jobs. If you restrict the gun industry then inevitably the manufacturers like Glock, Smith & Wesson, etc, will have to decrease their workforce.

Forget it brehs. It aint happenin.

We need to focus on mental health care more then we do gun control. Most of the people that do mass shootings are not the ones that will be banned from having guns.

I see the same paranoid, "I'd rather get caught with it than without it," arguments from gun advocates in here as I did in the HL thread. As if that matters when someone gets the drop on you.

"No one's gonna try me if they know I got that thang on me." :beli:

"If I woulda had a weapon when dude pulled that gun on me, things woulda been different." :beli:

"If someone breaks in my home, I can defend my family if I have a gun." :beli:

"You never know what could happen. Rather have a gun just in case something pops off." :beli:

"If guns are illegal, all the bad people will still have one, while the innocent people won't." :beli:

If guns were outlawed, the black market prices would skyrocket and it'd mostly be major criminals with guns (do you think a common criminal/coward is gonna drop $3,000 on a pistol?) and I doubt they're going around to middle class homes tying up families and robbing them. Besides, if people are so worried about getting their homes burglarized, get some damn insurance. Renters insurance is like $7/month for $100,000 in coverage. If it's really a threatening situation, let them have the items they want and collect the insurance money.

A taser or rubber bullets work just as effectively as a gun, they're just not lethal. Like I said before, it doesn't matter what you have on you if someone gets the drop on you first. That gun by your bed means nothing if they sneak up on you. Same way if you're out walking around and someone sticks you up, unless you're on some Max Payne/John Marston shyt and can freeze time while you line up five shots. :upsetfavre:

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

they don't get it breh........just don't get it :snoop:......they was sleeping in class when the teacher was explaining why the old wig headed slave owning white guys put forth these amendments......

They weren't able to separate the hypocritical slave holding actions with the written higher liberty ideals scrolled onto hemp paper backin the late 1770s and 1780s......

Yes they were hypocritical, kidnapping and raping POS.......................that just happened to write the, ARGUABLY, most freedom saturated document ever written for the formation of government and protection of citizens rights (originally property owning white men, but eventually covering every citizen)................ It's :mindblown: I know :yeshrug:

.................and yet we've let fear and mis/dis/no-information incrementally remove those rights.......seeminlgy, not aware of what the old statement about "history repeating itself" really means.........

There are examples around the world of both looser and harsher gun control resulting in higher crime.

What this tells us is that crime isn't determined by gun control either way, but rather any number of other factors.

There are also examples of more gun control and less crime. In our own country there is a clear corelation between states having lax gun laws and more gun violence.

No, guns aren't the only problem, but to completely ignore them and their danger is a mistake.

Not true at all. A big part of the gun control debate is limiting access to guns by mentally disturbed people. People who are taking mood altering drugs should not be able to buy guns. These are drugs that say a person shouldn't drive while taking them, yet we allow them to buy and use guns.

Knives are okay. Alcohol & other drugs are okay. Automobiles are okay. TVs and other heavy objects are okay. Video games are okay. Music is okay. Bombs are okay. Riots are okay.

Guns aren't okay. :ohhh:

Arm the teachers huh? So who would wanna be the armed teacher that had to hunt down that assault rife toting man man at school? You'd be walking through the halls like a real life Call of Duty with no respawn if you lose the shoot out and innocent bystanders all over.

Dumb idea.

You wanna protect yourself? Buy a shotgun. Handguns are way too concealable and those more dangerous. Ban em.

can someone tell me of the thousands of people killed in this country every year, how many are black?! Serious question. Because I feel it's over 60%, if not higher. Which in this case I'd ask, why ban guns when those committing a large majority of the murders will end up in prison, which itself is a billion dollar industry that generates billions of dollar of revenue each year off the cheap labor that is in instilled within the walls?!?! shyt is chess, not chuckee cheese....
