I get what you mean, but refined is usually a bad thing with hip hop.Idk man I just think H.N.I.C. has a more refined sound

Agree that it is the better comparison, but MM is better.I def think Murda Muzik & HNIC is the better comparison and also think HNIC is the better album
Can you make the case for HNIC over HOE?Hell On Earth has that 90s prestige and its an amazing album.. but its a discussion worth having. H.N.I.C is really fukking good
I don't know if I'd go that far - but P was a far superior rapper on HOE as compared to HNIC. The rhymes weren't yet at Infamy level...P's rapping on hnic was pretty flabby outside of can't complain and a few others.
It's better than the Infamous?idk about it being better then HOE, but i think hnic IS better then mobb deep's 2nd album..
And i neva undastood the so called "P falling off lyrically" thing..he never was a true top notch lyricist in the 1st place..he was just a lil nikka that talked tuff his whole career
I guess I can't make the case for it being objectively better. HNIC is more my styleCan you make the case for HNIC over HOE?
It's better than the Infamous?
P was definitely a top notch lyricist from 94-97. That includes Infamous, HOE and Noyd's EP. He faltered slightly on MM. But even then - he was still elite in 99. Quiet Storm was a tour de force.
Why do you think people of a smaller stature and top notch lyricists are mutually exclusive?
Why do you think talking tough and top notch lyricism are mutually exclusive?
And whether you think he was top notch or not - you're not seriously arguing his rhymes on Infamy were as good as Infamous and HOE?

i think thoseIdk man I just think H.N.I.C. has a more refined sound
yeah i tend to skip the first song on Murda Muzik...some joints i just dont want to hear anymore..but that HNIC seems to get better every year.. P was on a decline lyrically, but he was still in a good spaceI def think Murda Muzik & HNIC is the better comparison and also think HNIC is the better album
Why would an album having a regional sound be a bad thing?yes imo..that album's overall sound was too regional for me
lol i never said either or was mutually exclusive..
all im saying is he was never viewed as a true lyricist in the 1st place to me, so his alleged drop off wasn't significant to the point where i felt he truly fell off..like i seen plenty people online saying he fell off on hnic, and i really didn't notice a major difference..it definitely wasn't to the extent of NORE's fall off from war report to melvin flynt (and im not saying nore was a lyricist either, im just giving an example of a obvious fall off)
I don't know. There were a lot of lyrical standouts on the album. Let me know if you disagree with any of these being lyrically nice.I can easily go that far. It's basically carried by production.
You skip streets raised me? P killed that.i think those
