Htown mane:whew:

That second album has some of my favorite htown songs ever.

They like it slow
Special kind of fool
Shoot em up
Jezebel

Dino had a special voice. Just a mix of power and finesse. He was just starting to enter that Alexander O'Neal, Teddy Pendergrass lane:to:

Dino and tony Thompson from Hi - five was 2 great unsung singers that would had blew if they didn't die early

Tony was kinda fading away as far as music is concerned. Dino and htown on the other had dropped ladies edition womans world and they was right back in the thick of things with "they like it slow". Just imagine they went gold going up against mark morrison, jamiroquai, maxwell, badu and that whole rkelly/timbaland connection.

So good music and new acts were blowing up the r&b scene in 1996/1999. Neo soul/alternative r&b was taking over. Htown and tony thompson as a solo act was more on that underground tip.

I dont see them blowing up and crossing over. They wouldve had a nice career akin to kem and mint condition

i dont know why devante can't get it together. I would love to see him producing r and b again. The game needs some real r and b producers right now.

you can't compare these guys to people like kem & mint condition. and i don't know what you mean by crossing over. do you mean making popular mainstream r&b records? hi-five & h-town already did that bruh. they weren't underground or anything like that - altho h-town was on an independent label in their prime. hi-five & h-town were amongst the top name groups in their respective eras. they already did that dog.

tony faded cuz of his drug problems tho. he had signed to bad boy right before he went off the deep end. he would've been the face of bad boy r&b during the big bad boy run, and beyond.
