Halle Berry isn’t ready to put away her claws just yet.

While speaking about on-screen representation at the GLAAD Media Awards on Thursday night, Berry joked that she wanted a second chance as Catwoman.

“Each story builds on the next. It’s like that old saying goes: behind every Black Panther is a great black Catwoman!” she said while presenting an award onstage. “You know, I’ve gotten a really bad rap for this role, and I think Catwoman deserves another god—- chance, don’t you?”

After the audience erupted into cheer and applause, Berry, 51, said, “I knew this room would understand.”

Berry presented the comedy TV award to Lena Waithe for her performance in Master of None at the awards ceremony.

The actress was criticized for her performance as the DC Comics character in the poorly-received 2004 standalone film.

Berry famously accepted a Razzie award for the role in 2005. After being named worst actress of the year at the ceremony, which celebrates the year’s worst films, the actress took the stage to pick up her trophy in person.

Clutching her Oscar in one hand and her Golden Raspberry award in the other, the star stood at the podium and sobbed – just as she did when she won Best Actress for Monster’s Ball.

“You guys,” she said as if overcome with emotion, “thank you so much. I never in my life thought I would be up here. It’s not like I ever aspired to be here.” She then held up her Oscar. “And no, I don’t have to give this back. It has my name on it.”

“I have so many people to thank because you don’t win a Razzie without a lot of help from others,” she continued. “Warner Bros., for putting me in a godawful piece of s— movie.”
