I never wanted dreads or braids so I can't relate. But I can say, presentation is everything when you're trying to get a job in corporate America..Even on my first job interview, I shaved off my beard and had a clean face.

Yes, being able to do the job is important, but in the corporate world, presentation and being clean cut is almost as important.

Would you have felt proud of your college if they requested that you keep no facial hair and a clean cut in order to get an education?

Apples and Oranges my dude...Me shaving my beard and not having dreads was a personal choice in which I thought it would give me a better advantage of not appearing "threatening" to the HCIC(Head Caucasian In Charge)..They hold the power so you have to play the game until you can make your own moves.

A school mandating an appearance requirement when YOU'RE the one paying the tuition is a little over the top to me.

Have you ever been to Africa? I have lived in 5 African countries in the span of 4 years....believe me I have first hand experience on what hair style on men is deemed acceptable by African standards.

Ever seen an African president wearing dreads?:rudy:

So is that how the world should look? We're talking about people whos job it is to educate you, not assimilate you. Not everyone plans on being a white slave their whole life. Entrepeneurship isnt even an option from this cac loviing university.

A great majority of pin stripe suit wearing african presidents are educated in the west or in western influenced territories. so its logic they're going to imitate what the white man tells them is acceptable. They may not have dreads but with the way many of them dress i doubt they could get hired at Mcdonalds.

But yo, you ever tried to get a job dressed like this.

- The white man might not like that, she should put on a business suit.

Guess which leaders dress like this.
a.jpg
- the ones that are typically educated locally.

a.jpg
- his hair is short but i dunno if he wants to step into a job interview with these ethnic garments. :skip: How did he become president.

Wow, whats the president of South Africa doing walkin around dressed like this .

I think basically the cacs game has such a long reach, its infected everyones brain.

a.jpg
- President of Ethiopia. Wow, i wonder who influenced him? :mjpls:

a.jpg
- President of Gambia.

- Dressed like a kung fu master, educated locally.
