I went to Hampton and this is no surprise. They had banned cornrows/dreads from business students (I believe it was the business division) at least back in '04 when I was there.

:pacspit: at a non religious school that has a curfew for freshmen students and won't let opposite genders be in rooms together as freshmen.

For all of the good points of the school (baddest bytches I have seen ANYWHERE, and I've been all over this country) it is full of c00ns and semi-fakkits, especially c00ns in the offices.

Edit: I see this is about the business school. I assumed it was the whole university. They banned business students from rocking long hair years ago, but I guess they're just cracking down harder on it now.

Norfeast groovin…
please. :childplease:

dreads are becoming the new cornrows.

dreads did look professional like 5 years ago but now every black male wants them.

same thing as cornrows, cornrows were professional at one point until thugs started rocking them.

Thugs were always rockin cornrows, it's a fukkin hairstyle. :mindblown:

Bold move by hu ...but I agree with hampton on this

There's the world we wished we lived in...and then there's the real world

Hampton is just preparing for the second one

What world do you live in? In the real world people will build with whoever brings them the most profit. White,Black,Asian,Indian, the upper levels of management don't care because you won't ever grace their stratosphere. Your smoking dust if you think that they care that a nikka who is babysitting a cubicle has dreads or cornrows.

Shyt like this is the reason I hope that most college institutions get crumbled as soon as the college bubble burst.

having a degree from hampton wont get u a job anyway

:stopitslime: :stopitslime: :stopitslime:

That policy only applies to the 5-year MBA program anyway. Few males stay in that program through the 5th year, and the ones that do few have dreads, and the few few few ones who do have dreads cut them off anyway by the 4th year cause they want to get jobs.

"I said when was it that cornrows and dreadlocks were a part of African American history?," said Credle."I mean Charles drew didn't wear it, Muhammad Ali didn't wear it, Martin Luther King didn't wear it."

shyt like this kills me. People of african descent have been wearing their hair in these styles for centuries. In all social circles. I have an uncle whos the DA for a major US city. Another uncle is a newscaster for another major US city. Both nikkas got dreads. This dude is a clown who dont know wtf he talkin about.

Cornrows is one thing if the nikka look like jim jones. But they can be kept nice. Not for me, but I wont knock someone. But dreads can easily be very well maintained and look just as professional as any other hairstyle.

Its unbelievable so many people purport this idea that a baldie or a ceasar are the only 2 acceptable hairstyles for professional black men.

Hampton is a private school, so they can set any rules they want too. To come to think of it, none of my friends who are in the program never have dreads or cornrows.

Im glad im not a business major, cause i hate the business school with a passion

Put the pipe down bro...how you present yourself does count. Thats the real world

Even zuckerberg is suffering from this...he wore a hoody to his first presentation with investors and its one of the reasons fb is tanking as we speak. His lack of a business plan in addition to how he presented himself was stronly critisized

Unless your on some good will hunting shyt...its best not to show up at work let alone an interview with your pajamas on

It's because Black men are naturally intimidating, we can't help it :manny:

Old white men don't even like us having facial hair. Crazy thing is, I never noticed that most white dudes RARELY have facial hair while, most black dudes RARELY are clean shaven. Our swag is in our beards/goatees, like Samson's hair :takedat: Most of us look weird as shyt without it :sadcam:

Are they preparing students to start businesses or find a job. Its so demonic. These are grown men, they know what they have to do if they have to do it. Pathetic school. Really trying to grind out house nikka robots.

yea they are. 99 percent of the students who have graduated from the program left with jobs
