Obviously there are plenty of cases of people having inflated ego's.
But i think for the most part it's pretty easy to tell objectively how attractive you are compared to other people.
Standards of beauty are a social construct. Understanding these social norms isn't any more challenging than understanding any other social construct.
If you are capable of having a grasp on things people find offensive for example.(some people don't) you should be able to grasp what people find attractive.
At the very least you should know the difference between a desirable height and weight versus undesirable. Good teeth versus bad teeth, good hairline versus a receding one etc.

Yeah exactly, I am unable to take stock in my looks but its pretty easy to tell of you're attractive down to people staring at you, finding reasons to feel you up, try to strike up conversations for no reason, etc. People in general are drawn more to conventially attractive people because they are the good guys in all media.
