Where did folks stop rocking with jay, on the message boards?

Im talking about offline. On SOHH, basically, it was posters that had to rely the info back and forth. There was no social media like that. So when shyt happened on the radio, there would be someone posting that shyt asap on the forum. Then we would have to wait for the full story.


With that said, nas and jay had their supporters and haters so it was even. It was hard to tell who won really if we were to talk about SOHH or the Spots opinion. The NASLOST campaign started back then too after ether. Thats to show how it was back then. You just picked a side. I sided with Nas back then. I was a huge fan of the mobb and the wu at that time so i was biased towards jay though jay was running shyt back then. He was the most popular living rapper out at that time. No doubt about that.

We didnt have that advanced streaming shyt. Someone had to tape that shyt and convert it to mp3 and realplayer that shyt. It was between windows media and real player.

What a comeback. In another thread people rightfully putting the Roc run as one of the GOAT runs. Nas really went at them dolo at their peak and came out victorious.

The childish bars were genius. You can talk about wack albums like Jay did in takeover. But Nas went straight at the brehs insecurities. Can’t hurt someone more then exposing their deep lying emotional insecurities

It's crazy bruh, and everyone, even those that were there try to shift the narrative. This one white boy that I'm cool with on FB said Ether was the most overrated dis ever...the same white boy that made an unrealistic list of albums better than KD last year (dude had a list of 50 or so albums). You can tell the real Hov stans will never get over that shyt because they know Nas beat him lol
