It really starts from the top and this dude Mike Smith seems like a really good dude, but he seems like a bummy ass head coach. As a Cowboys fan the only thing I keep thinking about is the days when we had Dave Campo as our head football coach. Soft ass rah rah type dude who tried to be harder than he really was.

Smith's motivational speeches on this show are wack as fukk. You keep hearing him in every episode talmbout how the Falcons need to "be the toughest team in the NFL" and shed their label as soft but he don't even sound convincing when he's saying that shyt. Just saying that shyt in a team meeting isn't gonna make them more physical. On one hand he's asking them to be tougher, but then on the other hand you have one of their veteran "leaders" in Roddy White telling defenders not to hit Devonta Freeman too hard in practice? :beli:

Dudes like Bryan Cox and the special teams coach are trying hard to instill some attitude but teams take on the personality of their head coach, and if you aren't gonna be an elite X's and O's guy, which Smith isn't, you need to be able to propel your team with your words. Dude is just a soft coach and it trickles down to these soft ass players like this Hageman dude. This nikka is bytch made as all fukk. He the type dude that will show out his contract year but be garbage before and after that.

This team is in the worst possible situation right now. They're good, but not good enough to contend for anything. They might go 9-7, 10-6 and sneak into the playoffs and get bounced out in the wild card. That's their best bet :yeshrug:

I'm going to be real......I don't feel good about our chances to make it far in the playoffs, if we make the playoffs, mainly because they can't put the pieces around Ryan, because he takes up so much money himself, and the way the salary cap is set up. I don't think this team will be doing much with Ryan as quarterback......HOPE I'm wrong......but I don't see it right now. I look at Seattle as a perfect example of how to win right now.

I feel like if you not gonna contend for the Chip, you better off just being complete shyt and get a high draft pick. Falcons have a very slim chance at the SB , but will probably still be good enough to just barely get in the playoffs and not get a good draft pick.

I feel what u saying but if thats the case there are only 4 real contenders and 28 teams should tank.

I think some real undesirable situations are
The bills-no 1st next yr, talented team but no qb to lead the charge
Jets-self explanatory
Browns
Texans-very talented no qb
Cowboys-terrible
There are a lot more uglier situations imo

Although I agree we need mike smith gone, we have some great pieces in place with ryan, julio, good secondary. At this point we just need a couple pass rushers and to fortify the oline a little more. I rather be in playoff contention and hope everything clicks like it did for the ravens or giants.:yeshrug:

I'm starting to miss the days when Falcons fans used to be so optimistic thinking they were gonna run sh!t.:mjlol:
Honestly, i dont see why so many people are pessimistic about this season. You got Roddy and Julio back healthy. Improved O-line. Matt Ryan feeling like he's got something to prove. A promising young RB. Sure your defense is still trash and you lost your TE but i think last year will prove to be a fluke. + My boy Soliai will hold down the middle for y'all. I really hate that the Dolphins let my man walk.
I'll give you bums 10-6. Hope this doesn jinx you like my "Falcons vs Texans" Superbowl prediction last year. Boy was i wrong:pachaha:

:dahell:

if by "can't put the pieces around ryan" you mean put together a solid defense, then ok, but dude had roddy, julio, gonzales, and a then decent micheal turner on offense...what else needs/needed to be around him?

Yeah, I'm talking entire team......It takes all 3 phases (offense, defense, special teams)

Dimitroff's drafts have stunk.

Every coach doesn't have to be some rah rah rah yelling all the time jackass.
Average if anything

Truth is very few GMs out there are "very good" or "great" when it comes to drafting. Even the pats who are regarded as the premier FO in the league have had a busts
