He drafts well in late rounds. Most GMs can do decent in round one. It's round 3 through 7 that separates great GMs from decent GMs
Ill disagree, that is very far from true imo. who did belly draft from rounds 4 through 7 besides aaron hernandez and edelman in the last 5 years or so ?

look at those drafts man, they are ugly, even going back to 2007

since 2007, pats drafted 44 players in rounds 3-7 in 7 drafts (not counting 2014)

out of these players, not a single player was considered a starter for more than 2 years

not. a. single. player. ok you have aaron hernandez situation and edelman can maaaybe considered a starter for more than one year.

still thats only ridley and aaron hernandez who were starters for 2 years

that is actually quite bad compared to other teams. thats actually fukking awful

shiiit, kam chancellor drafted in the 5th round, by himself, is arguably better than anything pats got late draft in the last 7 years

ATL…overly
I'm starting to miss the days when Falcons fans used to be so optimistic thinking they were gonna run sh!t.:mjlol:
Honestly, i dont see why so many people are pessimistic about this season. You got Roddy and Julio back healthy. Improved O-line. Matt Ryan feeling like he's got something to prove. A promising young RB. Sure your defense is still trash and you lost your TE but i think last year will prove to be a fluke. + My boy Soliai will hold down the middle for y'all. I really hate that the Dolphins let my man walk.
I'll give you bums 10-6. Hope this doesn jinx you like my "Falcons vs Texans" Superbowl prediction last year. Boy was i wrong:pachaha:

I don't think Falcons fans are being "pessimistic" as much as were being realistic. The defense is gonna be top 5 WOAT in football and we have to hope the offense finds out how to score in the redzone. We can't really afford to many more injuries to the OL either. Best case scenario is that this team overachieves, we go 10-6 and go on a surprise playoff run. The reality is that this is a flawed team that will go 8-8 and Arthur Blank is gonna have to make a decision on the future of this franchise. He's got a new stadium that's opening in a few years...if he cuts bait, this yr gives him time to get it right by the time The Birds Nest opens.

Mike Smith just seems like someone who's very uncomfortable in front of the camera. I've seen the dog in him before, but overall yea, i can see him as someone players tune out.

As far as the team, I don't see us winning the superbowl, esp with this D. Best case scenario, we make the wildcard and win a playoff game. The front 7 of the defense is in a full rebuild. Its going to take more then one season to get where it has to be to SB caliber team but I think the foundation is there. Especially with Soliai and and Jackson. A rush LB or DE, and i can see us as contenders next season.

When Roddy said he didn't give a fukk his first couple years in the league. Probably a gang of other nikkas like that on the squad. That ATL nightlife :whew:
That's the majority of young nikkas who come from nothin not just in atl

I'm not sure if we've been underachieving considering the lack of talent outside of like 3 guys, but the quote below tells you all we need to know about Mike Smith.

Its like i told yall before, this team is a reflection of mike smith conservative, soft ass. This man sit on the sideline and doodle on that bytch ass miniature notebook. Fukk is he jottin down? A new way to piss on his own nuts? Ole 1980s silverhawk cartoon lookin ass bytch. I thought this hoe was a defensive guy? How could he be this goddamn soft? 4th and 1 on the 2 yd line and you bytch up! Ole "lets just take the points" ass fukker. Then got the nerve to say we gotta tip our hats to the dolphins. Tip deez nuts nygga.

And this fool Decoud. How the hell can you be an NFL safety and you 1. Hate contact and 2. Don't know how to take one sensible angle. Get this chump up outta here:camby:

I'm going to be real......I don't feel good about our chances to make it far in the playoffs, if we make the playoffs, mainly because they can't put the pieces around Ryan, because he takes up so much money himself, and the way the salary cap is set up. I don't think this team will be doing much with Ryan as quarterback......HOPE I'm wrong......but I don't see it right now. I look at Seattle as a perfect example of how to win right now.

The Seahawks benefitted from getting a franchise qb, and lock down cb at almost league minimum contracts for the past couple years. They have great scouts yes, but there was luck involved because Russ was drafted in the 3rd and Sherm in the 5th. It's impossible to plan that draft and contract situation...

Of course this comin from a Falcons fan...:to:

You think Russ gonna take 3rd tier money to help the hawks win next year?

The whole narrative that we cant build a team because matt ryan's contract is ridiculous. What are we supposed to do? Let him go and invest in the rest of the team?

I aint trying to be the bills brehs:whoa:

No way, we are blessed to have matty ice da gawd:blessed:
