If MLK died in his late 30's then he probably did about 20 years of work.
You didn't answer my question, or should I assume nothing? I can tell you what I'm doing, should you care to know.
If everyone believed "there's nothing an individual can do" then we've already lost. It means that Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X, Denmark Veasy, Nat Turner, so many others never should've tried.
An individual can spark change by inspiring others.
But if you're only making threads about where black leaders from 60 years ago made mistakes with out talking about what you are doing to fix the problem you're not fixing the problem.
To be fair talk is cheap.
OP, replace "we" with "I"
No we aren't. I don't depend on anyone to live I know how to grow my own food and clean my own water. I do it for convenience. First. Second like I said replace we with I because I'm not on your team. We may both be oppressed but your on team give up and I'm on team build. Me personally I understand my history and place in the world and I can communicate that with my family and friends and build from there. You are defeated and a cancer to those who are winning in their struggle. Your weak and that's what ever just don't include those who aren't weak with you.I applaud Malcolm X and think he was one of the greatest humans ever, even he couldnt fix the problem. Lets be real. What can i do? Im not that special. Malcolm and Garvey were special and couldnt fix thing. Hell God cant even help us.
Just be real, fukk all the positive make believe shyt.
Negro please. We're all in the same boat. Oppressed and depending on the Oppressor to live.

As I've studied and discuss Black Issues and History for the past 10 years. I've come to the conclusion that Martin Luther King's ideology and push to integration was the beginning of the end of the Black family and Black community. I don't think he knew what the effects of integrating with a group of people that don't see you as equals and has dominated you for 100s would have. Even animals know to stay out of the way of Lions and Bears. I figure he thought that once we got closer they'd see us in a better light and equals. What happened was, we became more dependent on the government and white owned business for jobs. We also took the majority of the successful people and their money out of the neighborhoods. The aspirations of entrepreneurship died down.
The only way Black can get back on the right path, is for us to go back to the pre- Civil rights times and do things the right way. By the right way I mean pretty much doing with other foreigners do. Start your own businesses, spend with each other, live near each other. And once you create a stronger enough economic base, then you can do business with other races.
In the 40s, 50s and 60s, Black were on the same page. We were ready to listen and do whatever we thought would help our situation. We put our trust into King, unfornutately his ideology has proven a massive failure. If he wouldve had us pushing for more Blacks to open businesses, we would have did that. If he wouldve pushed for more aid and reparations we would've. Actually, in his last few speak his changed his tune about integration and was going to push for reparations. That's probably why he was shot.
Today, Blacks are more divided than ever. The community is in shambles. The traditional Black family is in the worst shape ever. The successful Black man is pretty much like a lone Lions roaming the jungle with no pride. The Black woman is pretty much a self sufficent Hyena, that only needs a man to impregnate her.
