Breh, Paper Trail was T.I.'s sixth album and also the biggest album of his career at that point. His next album came out two years later after a jail stint and he went right back in on the eve of said album. That's not a rapid decline.
He went from the peak of his career to barely being relevant in two years, that's a fall off breh.

Fall off, yes. Hardest fall off or even one of the hardest fall offs, no. And he wasn't exactly barely relevant in 2010. He still had hits and he was even featured on Drake's "Fancy". Not to mention, this was like the third peak of his career. His first peak commercially was Urban Legend. His second peak was King and his third was Paper Trail.

It hurts my heart BAD to say it but Big Daddy Kane. First two albums - classic. Then when that Taste of Chocolate hit? :mjcry:

Go to a Kane show you are not gonna hear anything after It’s a Big Daddy Thing. Because he has so many hits on the first two he doesn’t have to for a full show but still that fall off was heartbreaking.

The rappers a part of the Houston Movement:

Mike Jones
Paul Wall
Chamillionaire
Slim Thug

^^^ they fizzled out quick. By the end of 2005, it was like it never happened. I mean Chamillionaire still had hits in 2006 and his buzz didn't die until he dropped the next album in 2007.
Then this happened :mjpls:

and he was never the same again

Houston in 05 didnt fumble the bag, labels mismanaged the shyt out of it
everyone loooooves pharrell but back then it was seen as such a fukk up they made slim thug be on neptunes shyt pretty much only, so his og fans didnt like it and if youre a new national fan coming off of Still Tippin, Already Platinum didnt have anything like that so it fizzled out. IDK about nationally but in 09 he was pretty big down here again.

Paul Wall was popping in 06-07, his 2nd album did pretty well for those times. 92k in 07, height of the download era where the industry hadnt kept up with the internet yet. I guess the label gave up after that but I heard Im Throwed, Break Em Off all the time on every radio station and everyones cars and all that in SA

Cham had label issues, Creepin shouldve been a big hit but he got into it so hard with Atlantic he said fukk rapping completely pretty much.

Mike Jones is one I can say fits. Mr. Jones was such a shytty song, Lil Wayne making one of his best tracks ever on the beat didnt help. He was also constantly clowned by Chamillionaire fans, and thats when Cham was going plat and winning grammys. He was also an a$$hole according to the interviews I've heard, Paul Wall said him and Mike went to Swizz Beats for a studio session (it was more Mike Jones session, Paul was just there) and didn't like any of the beats. Kanye at that time also said Mike Jones was acting too good for his shyt. The label gave him a song with an Eazy E sample and a Snoop Dogg feature and it still flopped, he was just done. His album in 09 did OK but all the songs were leftovers from the 06 era, then he got knocked out by Trae who is a saint and it was all the way over for him. Nobody fukked with him at all.

Mike Jones 100% fits on that category. He had the world in his hands and basically completely disappeared. He’s barely even made music since then. All those other Houston rappers that broke out back the have massive amounts of music in their catalog, and not hurting at all like @AlbertPullhoez said
