These motherf*ckers are so generic and wacksauce and gets on every single last nerve I have. They are literally all the same and have no integrity or individuality. Turning NYC into some stupid generic middle American suburban bullshyt...

Toronto is probably worse... every neighborhood in Downtown from Little Italy to Chinatown is looks the exact same with the same bullshyt high end burger joints and coffee shops. These cacs are turning every city into a fukking mall.

Bohemes live there cause the price is cheap (ie the first wave of gentrifiers from Manhattan to BK in the 90s/early 00s)
Hipsters follow (and the landlords exploit them by having them pay inflated prices cause they know they can get away with it and they know they'll pay for it)
and then Yuppies are the only ones that can afford to live there when all is said and done.

There are some waterfront condos in Williamsburg that start at $9500 A MONTH (near Greenpoint/McCarren)...that was something that could barely be thought of a decade ago...cause I'd say 88% percent of the new folks inhabiting North Brooklyn would of been scared shytless to come into Brooklyn back then.

Word. the real question is what happens next in the cycle though

This. For years Black folks have been complaining about how those tour busses that come thru Harlem on a daily basis come off as safari tours with uppity whites looking thru the ghettos as if they are in a zoo. Some of the storefronts dont mind tho and actually try to get people on those buses to buy items.
