i think 50 had a bigger mainstream buzz because of the Interscope push, but for Jeezy to be a brand new rapper his street buzz/play was crazy in 05'. I don't know if this makes sense to some people but Jeezy's street buzz was parallel to 50's mainstream buzz during that time. I was back and forth between New York, South Carolina and Atlanta and Jeezy was everywhere in the streets. Yes, 50 was everywhere too but remember he was just the biggest act at the time and had the biggest push from one of the biggest labels under Dre and Em. Jeezy came out on his own and had a crazy run right out the gate.

50 had the mainstream on lock but when jeezy first came out....shyt was like...is nikkas supposed to talk like this on a rap song? ....naw man he cant say shyt like this on the radio lololol

Jeezy and T.I. had that title for a mintue...

You said the "hottest"

Not best or most successful

And when TM101 dropped nobody in the rap game was "hotter" at that moment...

T.I cant even be called a trap rapper anymore ...

Jeezy came the closest imo

:heh: you can't be serious

Who was talking about the "trap" before T.I.'s Trap Musik came out????

I understand now he obviously isn't in the trap anymore... but shyt neither are any other these "trap" rappers....

Cept OJ da Juiceman... he never left :wow:

If I remember...50 Cent album dropped earlier in the year (It was suppose to drop on Valentine's Day) where as Jeezy's album dropped in the Summer and was kiling shyt thru out the Summer.... even tho Urban Legend dropped in 2004 T.I. still was on fire from Urban Legend cause of U Don't Know Me and then dropping ASAP right before the summer of 05......

At that time, Jeezy and TIP where probably the hottest rappers out....thinking about it now.....it was alot of good music coming out....
