Wiz kid is better than kiss Daniel but I was telling dudes there are other artist around .
I love how soca artist working with Afro beats artist too .
I don’t think he’s talking about over all I think it’s just about the now . When me and my home girls go out they would much rather hear the latest Afro beats than the latest dancehall .
afrobeat has all the momentum. look at the population of Nigera, ghana, kenya ivory coast etc. the places producing musical talent on the continent. shyt london, NY, Houston, Atlanta, DC all have alot of africans. let alone euro countrys with african populations. Afrobeats has room to grow still. but if you look at the size of a country like jamaica or any carib nation its not even a fair comparison

However, I will say dancehall riddims from the 90's to mid 2000's sound like epics compared to the watered down fukkry they're calling riddims now.
lissen dis riddim ya
compare it to teh weak fukkry dem calling riddims now.
). My friends and I were dancehall junkies we always had to be up on the newest riddims, lol. The 2000s were a GREAT time for dancehall but now I can barely listen. I'm tired of the "fukk tight p*ssy quint pon cocky" talk myself (perhaps it's me getting older).

I don’t know I think burna might be the one .Great thread.
Juice Riddim used to get the parties JUMPING. I was in college at the time (). My friends and I were dancehall junkies we always had to be up on the newest riddims, lol. Whomever says Afrobeats hasn't gotten dancehall out the paint is lying to themselves. A few months back my students went NUTS when we played Burna Boy at a show. They went insane. I'm talking African, Latino, West Indian, Asian...I just stood there stunned.
@ThiefyPoo you think we'll ever have an artist break out?
